We start our expedition at 7:30 am on the coast of Cancun, where we offer a light breakfast to kick off our journey to encounter the whale sharks. During the trip, it's very likely we'll spot dolphins, turtles, flying fish, and with luck, some marlin, or swordfish.
After covering a few kilometers from the coast, you'll find yourself swimming surrounded by whale sharks that can measure over 10 meters. This is one of their best sighting areas due to the large number of whale sharks and the crystal-clear water.
However, despite being the largest fish in the sea, you should not fear them as they are super calm and docile. During the swim, you'll always be accompanied by our professional guides, so you should have no worries.
Upon returning from our expedition, we offer you lunch prepared for you on one of the beaches of Isla Mujeres.
The whale shark swimming season starts in June and ends in September.
Our Expedition Includes round-trip transportation, professional bilingual guide, snorkeling equipment, life jacket, lunch, bottled water, and soft drinks. We recommend bringing a change of clothes, towel, sunglasses, sun-protective clothing, swimsuit worn, hat/cap, camera, money for photos and souvenirs.
Before booking, consider that the minimum age is 8 years old, it’s not recommended for people with respiratory or heart problems, back or neck injuries. For your safety and that of the baby, access is not allowed for pregnant women. Round-trip transportation is included from selected hotels exclusively for our guests who book their tours at least 24 hours in advance. Allow 2 to 5 hours for transportation for this tour. The exact transportation time depends on the location of your hotel and the pickup route.
